View of whaler at sea
Black and white photograph made of paper

Donated by Mr Robert Ferguson in 1973
Museum number 1975-2-3-32

This black and white photograph gives a view of a whaling vessel at sea. The view is from the starboard quarter from a distance of about half a kilometre. The vessel is two masted and could be a ketch. Depending on the date of the photograph, the picture could be the Dundee ketch 'Earnest William' or Snowdrop, both of which operated in this area in the early years of the 20th Century.
