Whale moored alongside a Dundee whaling ship
Lantern slide of glass with meal frame

Donated by Mr Robert Ferguson in 1975
Museum number 1975-2-4-43

This lantern slide shows a dead whale moored alongside a Dundee whaling ship. There are two men standing on top of the whale, both holding long poles and wearing white jackets or jumpers. The midships section and funnel of the ship is also clearly seen, with a group of men looking down on the whale.
