Framed reproduction of a drawing of the whaling ship 'Diana' locked in the ice. In the foreground is a tent, with five men, a small dog and some kettles and pans to the left. Behind the tent are a number of men carrying stores or rolling large casks, while to the right a number of men are hauling open whaleboats. The ship 'Diana' is in the middle ground and background, tipped at an angle by the ice with her bowsprit on the left and her stern on the right. Men can be seen unloading her.
