Photographic print
Museum number 1968-96-2
This photograph shows a scene in Dundee harbour around 1900. There are two berthed whaling vessels in the picture, with 'Balaena' nearest to the viewer and 'Windward' further away and to the right. The stern of 'Balaena' is clear, with the ship's wheel, the mizzen mast and the funnel. The starboard bow of 'Windward' can be seen, with her foremast rising and a single crewman forward.
