Whaling ship moored off hilly coast
Lantern slide made of glass with metal frame

Donated by Mr Robert Ferguson in 1975
Museum number 1975-2-4-3

This lantern slide shows a whaling ship moored in sheltered water near a rocky coastline. The vessel has a black hull and her sails furled. Whaleboats can be seen suspended by davits along the side of the ship. Behind the ship the ground rises to a rocky hill, with another hill rising out of picture to the left.
