Whaling ship moored in ice
Lantern slide made of glass with metal frame

Donated by Mr Robert Ferguson in 1975
Museum number 1975-2-4-12

This lantern slide shows a Dundee whaling ship moored in ice. The vessel has all her sails furled and has two long lines stretched from her bow, with a rope ladder from her bow to the ice. There are also a number of empty Inuit kayaks sitting on the ice around her.
