Whaling ship moored off a low coastline
Lantern slide of glass with metal frame

Donated by Mr Robert Ferguson in 1975
Museum number 1975-2-4-9

This lantern slide shows a whaling ship moored off a coastline of low hills. The ship has all her sails furled and is wearing a house flag on her foremast and the Union flag on her mizzen. There is a member of the crew standing quite far forward and a whaleboat visible near the funnel.
