Whaling ship master
Lantern slide made of glass with metal frame
Donated by Mr Albert A. Fuller in 1996
Museum number 1997-27-64
This lantern slide shows a full length portrait of a whaling ship master. The gentleman is wearing a three piece suit and a bowler hat. He is standing with his hands behind his back and his left leg slightly forward. Evidence would suggest he is Captain Guy of 'Arctic', with the photograph taken in 1884.
