Clipping made of paper
Museum number 1969-117-58
This black and white photograph was clipped from a magazine. It shows a section of the Antarctic, with flat 'pancake' ice and some ice cliffs. There are Weddell Seals basking on the ice floes. The caption beneath reads: 'Weddell Seals basking on newly formed 'Pancake' ice floes. The latter, of course, ar so-named on account of their shape.'
