Whaling ship moored in pack ice
Lantern slide made of glass with metal frame
Donated by Mr Robert Ferguson in 1975
Museum number 1975-2-4-4
This lantern slide shows a whaling ship moored in pack ice. The vessel has her sails furled and her crow's nest unmanned. Because of the amount of pack ice in the foreground, the vessel is only partially visible; nearly all her hull is hidden behind the ice.
